Gravitas, XW's first full side-scrolling game!

Gravitas is a MOSSRPGS. Yes, that's quite long, so let me break it down into words. Gravitas is a multiplayer online side scrolling role playing game shooter full of fun stuff to do! You can go solo and play through various missions to create your own powerful signet. Or you can chat with other players in towns or even clear missions together! PVP is also a fun aspect of Gravitas, especially in a side scrolling shooter. It uses your skill more than a regular RPG, you'll have to have good reflexes (and know how to use a lift). Creating a proper signet is one of the way to win in Gravitas.

Features
- XW's first full side scrolling game!
- Totally custom graphics made by me, Anthonie, in MS Paint (Windows 7)!
- Our own music made by the epic RaptR.
- Epic design framework by the god of designs, Amperglyph!
- Starts linear as a tutorial, and then unfolds as a single player story with multiple capacities!
- A fun /hint system that can give you an idea as what you could do next in-game!
- Feel tired of jumping? Try out elevators! They're everywhere!
- No monsters blocking your path from one town to the other.
- Easily travel from town to town.
- PVP is fun and easy to access.
- Do lots of fun missions!
- Mixing signets with possible cores and engraving to create the one that fits your playstyle.
And much more there is!

The story
Long ago, the seven kingdoms of Helos lived separately from eachother and had their own government and army, they were very hostile to eachother too, but never attacked, in fear of starting a huge war. It was somewhat of a cold war. A hero from the western Zagn Republic's government, Vangolis Taylor, the embodiment of Pride, decided this should change, and thus he traveled to Anza, and after completing various tasks from the king of Anza, united the kingdoms and ruled it with a Council. That is all that was put into history of that time, nothing of the defeated evil, Luna Chorda, was mentioned, nothing was mentioned about the other people who embodied a sin and nothing was mentioned of all the battles Vangolis had to go through. It was simply chosen to be erased from history.

Government after government, Helos was peacefully ruled, until the latest ruler died and his son took over. Blinded by his ideals, ignorance and arrogance, he turned Anza into a dictatorship and broke the unified government. A war raged between all nations, something that people tried to prevent for decades. Until someone found the blueprints of some sort of giant Pod, a city, and completed it with newer technology. This city, the Citadel of Salvani, rose into the sky, and still floats there today. Some people consider it an eighth kingdom, others don't. Nobody new the original creator of this neutral sanctuary was their 'hero' Vangolis Taylor. As if it was a symbol of peace, all wars ceased on that day, although hostility remained between a few kingdoms. The dictator died, assassinated, but he has left his mark on the world. Helos would never be unified ever again, but perhaps someone like Vangolis will be born again, and try to re-achieve that goal.

The Kingdoms of Helos
Each area will be distinguished by a different light color and music, and they will be listed as we reach them in development.
Anza
It used to be a large country full of various sorts of climates. A mountainous area, green fields, a desert. It was all there. But ever since Anza was ruled by the dictator, everything has changed. Anza is now totally technology-advanced, with polluted rivers and skies. Vegetation is hard to spot and you can see is machines, metal and flying Pods. It's capital, Darron, is the headquarters for the Council, and the home to many technological labs inventing new things every day.

Pelos
Thanks to Vangolis, was allied to Anza for a while, until the unified government was separated. Now they are a neutral country similar the far east. Prosperous in vegetation, has many beautiful sceneries and various traditional cultural habits that intrigue all tourists that book their vacation here. They don't believe in having one capital, and this fits the fact that there are five islands which together form Pelos. The town in Pelos are called Matl, Rosary and Gelimer, and one island is the famed monastery, the Zen Point, and on the other are the ruins of a once existing city, Talarant.

Khromis and Prefet
Often called the Twin Kingdoms because of they cultural and geographical similarities. They are similar in culture and traditions to the Earthly Turkey. People group these two kingdoms as one, although they prefer being separated.

Fontrai
A cave. This whole kingdom is dug underground, with tunnels leading deep into the earth, but also passages leading up to the peaks of the mountains. The citizens however, have trouble bearing sunlight, thus never leave Fontrai.

Eastern Reaches
This kingdom belonged to another continent long ago. It was conquered at the order of Vangolis, but up to today, they are still fighting over land. Meanwhile, the Helos army has adapted all traditions of the other folk, despite have Anza and Pelos inspired (town) names. Due to the dry climate, vegetation is near impossible and, while not a desert, the ground is dried up and full of fissures ready to trap any unsuspecting tourist. The maintown of the Helos side of the Eastern Reaches is Meisung, and the eastern side is Capitam. (Think the 'wild west' theme)

Southlands
Cold, barren and frozen, this hasn't changed, never will it. Heavy snowstorms will have you begging any random house for a sit at the fire. There used to be a bear fighting pit, where two polar bears were put in an arena and had to fight for survival, this tradition was banned by Vangolis. Nowadays, this arena is used for the settling of fights between people. The port town and capital is Southaven.

Mu
Mu, the void, a mystical continent, nobody knew what it really was, and still now they find new things they knew nothing about. Mu is an egg-shaped dome floating on the sea, which alien-like technology and a circular chamber in the middle, with ten rooms called Compacts, each with a different climate and theme, surrounding it. Researchers believe there is more to be found.

Thank you.

I've added a part about the Kingdoms of Helos, and good ol' RaptR is going to start making music for Pelos and Anza.

Getting started on Anza, the kingdom of technology. And for starters! The ground!

An idea Gangstanick gave me. Don't stand on the blinking red circuits down there, we can't guarantee that those broken circuit wires won't shock you. (AKA GN gave me the idea of broken circuits that flash red.)

Making some good progress on the male sprite template. I made him chibi just to test and he doesn't look too bad in my opinion. Of course though, I'll change it if you want me to.
I'll either have it done by tonight, or tommorow.
